By the realization of the objectives, the Association promotes the basic human rights and life quality of blind and other persons with disabilities and children with disabilities, creating conditions for their social involvement in the community.
The mission of the Association is to raise awareness of society about the rights, abilities and needs of persons with disabilities, which contributes to the sensitivity of community and increase the number of independent persons, by improving their mobility and quality of everyday life.
The Association based its work with individuals, informal groups and non-profit organizations, business sectors, local, regional and national authorities on the principles of empowerment, self-help, education, active involvement, launch positive initiatives, encouraging cooperation, mutual respect and respect for diversity creating a sustainable model of development organizations.
Encourages and develops self- advocacy role of its members to promote human rights in the context of the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, legislation and national strategy documents.
It provides mechanisms for the application of prescribed working standards and criteria for clients with their assigned dog helpers.
